A seasonal favorite, made the old-fashioned way. We simmer elderberries (Sambucus nigra) with cinnamon and cloves into a rich tea, then stir in honey to turn it into syrup. It's fruity, warmly spiced and sweetened with honey, and it's a cozy part of the fall and winter routine for many families.
Ingredients: Water, elderberries, honey, cinnamon, cloves.
How to enjoy it
- Adults: 2 teaspoons a day. Children (1 year and older): 1 teaspoon a day.
- Stir it into hot tea or sparkling water.
- Drizzle it over pancakes, yogurt or ice cream.
